Addi Road Education - Art, Action and 'Artivism'

Last week we had the opportunity to once again work with the amazing Addi Road Living Museum. 160 year 8 students from Burwood Girls High School visited the centre.  Students visited Radio Skid Row , Flight Path Theatre, sketched the Hollow tree and participated in two workshops delivered by the Assemblage Sisters. Workshops were devised around recently published book "The Hollow Tree"  by Mark Mordue, Robyn Chiles and Inner West School Children. Published by the Addision Road Community Centre. Here are just a few images of the day. NAIDOC Week Community.a.Fair

Our collaborative canvas came out again at Addi Road On July 10.  This time we had a mix of ages. This was reflected on the canvas. The adults and teens worked the top of the canvas while the younger children worked the bottom of the canvas. Do have a read of this  article from the Addi Road Website .   Learn more about NAIDOC WEEK at the SBS Learn site.
